Archeological Museum and Portrait Gallery -Old Goa
Archaeological Museum, Old Goa

Maintained by the Archaeological Survey department, Govt. of India. The " Portrait Gallery" occupies the first floor of the museum and has over sixty paintings of the Portuguese Governors and Viceroys that ruled Goa. This Museum is open to public from 10 am to 5pm and Friday is holiday.


Naval Aviation Museum

Has a static display of aircrafts, engines, armaments, aviation simulator, models, and museum gift shop. This is open from 10 am to 5pm. Entry: Rs.15/-.

Museum of Christian art, Rachol

This is situated at Santa Monica Convent, Old Goa, 20minutes drive from Panjim. This museum houses collection of Christian Artifacts,paintings, wooden statues, gold/silver items, etc. It is open everyday from 9.30a.m to 5pm. Entry: Rs.15/-


Ancestral Goa

Goa state Museum, Patto, Panjim

This is in EDC Complex, Panjim 5 minutes drive from Panjim bustand. A small collection of archaeological artifacts, mostly pre-Portuguese. The timing are 9.30 am to 1pm and 2pm to 5.30pm. Open on weekdays.

Ancestral Goa/Big Foot, Loutolim

This is 15 minutes drive from Margao. This is first of its kind of open-air museum and displays how Goa was before 100 years ago, the customs and traditions of Goa etc. This is open on all days and entry of Rs.20/- for adults and Rs.10/ -for children.

Goa Science Centre

This is on Miramar highway, 10 minutes drive from Panjim KTC busstand. This Centre has science park and a gallery on fun science with wonderful exhibits on scientific principles. This is open on all days from 10.30a.m to 6.30p.m and Entry fee: Rs.10/-
