Cathedral Church
See Cathedral

This is situated in Old Goa which is 10kms from the capital Panaji. The interior of the church is magnificent and has a vaulted ceiling, which overwhelms the visitor by its sheer grandeur, with its exquisite masterpiece of art and architecture. The Cathedral has one lateral tower having five bells, the biggest in and one of the best in the world.

Convent and Church of St. Francis of Assissi

This is located to the west of the Se Cathedral and offers the best specimen of the religious art of the 17th century. The most interesting feature of the church is the octagonal tabernacle in Baroque with Corinthian features. Adjacent to the church is the Archaeological Museum.



Basilica of Bom Jesus

This is located on the right side of Se Cathedral and was built in the 16th Century. A massive structure of Basilica of Bom Jesus is popularly known as the Church of St. Francis Xavier, the Patron saint of Goa, whose body was placed in the new silver casket and the remains are enshrined here.

Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception

This is in the heart of the panaji town with its grand flight of steps and lofty bell tower. The bell at the top of the church is the second largest in Goa. Two principal feasts are celebrated at the church every year, on 13th May in honour of our lady of Fatima and the other on 8th December in honour of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception

Reis Magos Church

This is 7kms from Panaji built in 1555, it is dedicated to the three Magi kings who according to the legend were guided day and night by a star to Bethlehem to greet the new born child: Jesus.

The church of St. Ana

This is 11kms from Panaji at Talaulim. This remarkable structure of ancient Christian architecture, is built on the bank of Siridao river. A unique feature of this church is that it has hallow walls so that people can walk in secrecy for confessions.

Viceroy’s Arch

One of the gates of Adil Shah’s fort the complex was the residence of Portuguese Governors.
