Beaches in Goa

Colva beach is famous for its enchanting loveliness and is 6kms from Margao. Its flour-like white sand and palm trees make up a fine coastal scenery. The off-shore is splendid for swimming. Accomodation are available near the beach easily. Water scooters and Parachute ride is available here which can give thrilling experience to the tourists.

Miramar Beach

This is about 3kms from Panaji and also known as Gaspar Dias beach, is a lovely beach studded with palm groves and pine trees along the estuary of the river Mondovi. By the side of the beach is a children’s park and superb view of the sunset is observed by the visitors.



Calangute Beach

This is 16kms from Panaji and this is the most famous of the famous of Goan beaches. This is known as "Queen of Goa's Beach". The beach is of white sand and is studded, with coconut trees strectches about 7kms with number of bars and beach restaurants offering delicious food for the thirsting soul.

Paragliding, Water scooters, Motor Boats, Banana ride, Parachute ride is available here.

Baga Beach

This is equally beautiful and is ideal for fishing and one can see ample shark fish foted on the seashore. The beach is a holiday resort.

This beach is in Bardez taluka, a village in North Goa and is about 20kms from Panaji. It is famous for its "flea market”. The famous chapora fort is quite near to this beach.

Vagator Beach

It is around 22 kms from the capital and is bordered on the south by calangute beach and the North by the Chapora fort. It is a favorite beach of “hippies” who reside here to have peace of mind. A large number of tourists visit here during the summer months.

Palolem Beach

This is 37kms from Margao, is one of the most enchanting and relatively less known beaches in Goa.
